So I began to play League of Legends recently and I am kinda hooked to it. This is not a whole review of the game but a basic rundown of it. Anyway, for those of you who do not know what League of Legends (LoL) is, it is a strategy 3rd person game that invites you to take over the enemy’s base. The game and idea started on the Warcraft 3 engine in a custom game called DOTA. Due to its popularity, the creators wanted to create their own game and gain a revenue from it themselves. Thus, this is how League of Legends was born.

Shows: Flashforward & Heroes Cancelled

What once was a hit-TV series, Heroes is finally being canceled due to the poor ratings after season 3-4. This is contributed to that fact that the story and characters kind of got stale and moved to random directions during the storyline. However, if you are a true and hardcore heroes fan, you should of saw this coming from a mile away. On a good note though, they may be planning to release a 2-4 hour movie to wrap things up since the entire cast wants have a proper ending to their show. This is needed especially when they showed a cliff hanger ending in the last season. Anyway, if they are planning to make a movie as a wrap-up, I won’t mind watching it since I do want to know how everyone ends up (except Claire).

Gaming: Portal Free On Steam!

For a limited time only, Portal is free on Steam until May 24th! If you guys didn’t open steam for a while, this is the chance to get your free copy simply by downloading it. I suspect that this offer is launched alongside their promotion for their steam support for Mac computers.

As someone who played through the entire game in about 2 and a half hours, I say that Portal is worth your time and cost (especially when it is free). I will place the full (short) review on the game here later but for the time being, I would say that for any half-life or counter-strike gamers, you should definitely give Portal a try! Who knows, maybe it’ll hook you like it did to me.

Review: Kick-ass (Movie)

I apologize for the lack of updates but I will get back to speed during this week. Anyway, the first thing I wanted to review for a while is the movie Kick-ass which is directed by Matthew Vaughn and released in April 16, 2010. As a movie that is based on another batch of super-heroes, is this movie worth the admission or does it suck ass?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was released in 2008 as a comedy that deals with a long term relationship breakup. There are many famous actors that I recognize in there such as Jason Segel (Marshall in How I Met Your Mother), Mila Kunis (70′s show), Kristen Bell and Russell Brand. The cast is already enough to warrant a view for those of you that just want to turn their brain off for the day.
